Our second annual Share the Love fundraising and awareness campaign was a huge success! Driven by our best advocates – our volunteers, staff and current supporters – this campaign surpassed our goal.
With our advocates help, during the month of February we let our community know more about School on Wheels’ impactful academic intervention programs and highlighted the issue of child homelessness and its impact on education. Nearly 200 individuals responded by supporting our programs.
We couldn’t be happier that our community pulled together in such a tremendous way to help equip the homeless children we serve with the tools necessary to break the cycle of homelessness through education! We are looking forward to hosting a pizza party at each of our tutoring partner sites so the children we serve can join us in celebrating this amazing success as well.
Thank you again to our volunteers and other advocates who spent a month dedicated to sharing the importance of School on Wheels with their friends, family and co-workers, and for helping us surpass our $10,000 goal by nearly 25%. With the matching gift grant from The Indianapolis Foundation, a CICF affiliate, we raised nearly $25,000, which is an amazing result – an accomplishment we couldn’t have achieved without the help of our supporters and our community. Thank you!
