2018 has been off to such a great start at School on Wheels, and it’s only going to get bigger and better from here!
It’s almost time for #SharetheLoveIndy 2018, and we couldn’t be more excited to share a sneak peek of all that’s going to be happening next month.
This February, School on Wheels is working with organizations and people throughout the community to advocate for our students and raise money for the academic programs that support them. Our goal is to raise $25,000 this month – that covers a full month of tutoring for 250 children impacted by homelessness. And we can reach our goal with the help of our community. There are so many ways to get involved.
1. You can donate directly.
2. Challenge your friends and family to help support School on Wheels by creating your own Facebook fundraising campaign. If 250 people get 10 friends to give just $10, we’ll meet our goal in no time! Here are some tips to get you started.
3. Round up your friends and attend some of our give back events in February. You can shop, socialize, and workout, all in support of School on Wheels. Check out the full calendar of events with all the details here!
4. Advocate, advocate, advocate. We’ll be sharing information about homelessness in Indianapolis and the reasons why education is so critical to breaking the cycle of homelessness. Help us magnify our voice by following us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn and sharing our posts.
There are so many different opportunities to support School on Wheels this month that there really is something for everyone. Whether you love to shop and are pumped to buy jewelry at Kendra Scott, or are a huge fan of Sun King Brewery (ps – we’re also going to have activities for the kids at our Sun King Brewery nights because they open for all ages February 1!), it’s never been easier to get involved.
See you soon!
