#PackAPack: Monetary donations are critical to sustaining School on Wheels’ impact in the community, but #PackAPack is a great opportunity for new organizations to get involved with in-kind support. It’s also an important tool for current corporate partners to further engage their employees. When our corporate #PackAPack Challenge partners help secure backpacks, school supplies, and after-school snacks between July 15 - July 25, 2019 they set students up for academic success. Fund A Future: This year, over 5,000 children will be homeless in Indianapolis. $1,000 covers the cost of tutoring a student impacted by homelessness for one school year. Companies who support School on Wheels and the Fund A Future campaign with a gift of $1,000 have their logo included in a full page School on Wheels ad in the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2020 Giving Guide, published November 22, 2019. Learn more or pledge your support at bit.ly/FundAFuture.
12 Bars of Charity: This holiday pub crawl is a social event in downtown Indy that gives back to local charities each December, and School on Wheels is on Team Black! With a $500 contribution, your organization’s logo will be placed on the back of all Team Black sweatshirts that are worn throughout the evening by everyone supporting School on Wheels. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to become a 12 Bars of Charity sponsor in 2020. Sponsorships for 2019 are sold out.
Giving Tree: Your company can give the gift of education this holiday season by providing uniforms to School on Wheels children. We’ll provide you ornaments with the uniform pieces we need and your team can collect items between December 2 and December 13, 2019. We’ll share your progress on social media to inspire others to give back this holiday season. Pledge to give the gift of education this holiday season at bit.ly/GivingTreePledge
2020 Education Celebration: Each year corporations and individuals help School on Wheels raise over $250,000 during our annual event that celebrates the academic accomplishments of children impacted by homelessness while honoring others dedicated to transforming lives through education.
